Enduro Pro Coding Plug Underseat
Author Last Post
My R1200GS 2014 did not have the Enduro Pro Plug under the seat. BMW calls it the Coding Plug and BMW charges anywhere from $25 to as high as $79 depending on where you find one. I have seen several people online say it stores data, keeps setting etc.  I did some research on the wiring since I didn't have one. You all will be interested to know if you don't already that there is nothing in that plug. No chip. No Nothing.

It is just a short, a loopback wire.Everything you needed is already in the bike, the short just acts like a switch to enable it.  There are two wires coming to the plug. You could just cut the plug off and connect the two wires. Or instead, I have used a paperclip. Cut a small piece and make a U shape and stick it in the two holes and put the cap back on. When you turn on the bike you will have Enduro Pro options.

So if anything happens just short the two wires and blamo you have Enduro Pro without spending anything.
