"With a Little Help from My Friends:  Learning to be Capable, Consistent and Confident While Having Fun"

Motorcycles have always been a great joy in Donna’s life since her dad gave her a Honda mini trail 50 for her fifth birthday. From herding cows and motocross as a teenager to riding across the US and now offroad, riding is her first love. It is also where she found her true love, Martin.

After 47 years of riding, Donna bought her first BMW F 850 GSA in March 2021 and updated to a R 1250 GS in early 2023 intending to compete in the 2024 GS Trophy Qualifier.
In that time, she has enjoyed the MABDR twice and sections of the NEBDR. Training has included a three-day women’s GS Trophy prep class at Austin Moto Adventures lead by GS Trophy legends Kandi Spangler, Lisa Taylor, and Caroline Stevenson along with the two-day offroad class, USRA class, and GS Trophy Prep Class at the BMW Performance Center.

For the last nine years, Donna has been an educator at Northeast State Community College in Blountville, Tennessee, serving as a faculty member in Computer Science and Dean of the Technologies DivisionShe has been RiderCoach for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and Harley-Davidson Riding Academy instructing new riders for ten years.
