Join us September 13 through 15 at the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground near Waynesville NC with rides to  Caesar's Head State Park in Cleveland SC  and Dupont State Park SC on Friday and Saturday.

Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground offers both tent camping and cabins.  No reservation is necessary for camping. Cabins are limited, but they are holding a few for us. If you want to stay in a cabin, make your reservations as soon as possible. Indicate that you are coming with the BMW Motorcycle Club of GA and cabins are being held in the name of Ian Feinberg.

Friday 9/13, 8:00 am - Will meet at the Shell station - 1510 McFarland Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA 30005 - kickstands up by 8:30 am.

Friday's ride will take us to Caesar's Head State Park which has a magnificent view over the valley below. We'll have lunch at Cedar Mountain Cafe before heading to Dupont State Park. I had planned on a hike to High Falls in the park which is a moderate 1/2 mile hike each way. We may opt instead to hike to Hooker Falls in the same area. Next we will head to Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground to check in. If you haven't already done so please make sure you have reserved a cabin if you aren't camping. They should be holding several for us. For those of us that want to, we'll ride to Waynesville for dinner.

On Saturday, we will need kickstands up by 8:30am. We'll ride to Gorges State Park and hike to Rainbow Falls. We'll want to get there early to beat the heat and find good parking. ****IMPORTANT*** Please be advised this is a 1 1/2 mile hike. It is primarily downhill to the falls which means it will be uphill on the way back. Some of the hike includes exposed roots, rocks and steps. You may want to take walking shorts and shoes for the hike and change out of your riding boots and pants.   Of course, if you want to opt out of the hike, we can make a arrangements to meet for lunch.

We'll have lunch in Cashiers, then take a scenic route back to BRMC. Again, we can ride to Waynesville for dinner Saturday evening.

The ride back home will be on your own Sunday.
