June Club Ride and Lunch at Old Blind Dog

On Saturday, June 2nd the club organized a pair of great events which were very well attended.  The day started with a meet up at Cracker Barrel in Cumming where 20 motorcycles filled the parking lot with BMW roundels.  Some of the early birds had breakfast while the later arrivals simply lined up at 8:30 for a pre-ride briefing and route overview.
Ian Feinberg planned the ride and served as ride captain for the day. The route took us up Highway 9 to Dahlonega, and then up 60 to Suches where we stopped at the gas station near Two Wheels Only.   From there we rolled across Wolf Pen Gap (180) to 19, and then turned at Turners Corner and headed back to the rockpile and back to Dahlonega.  We then rode across to Old Blind Dog Pub in Milton for lunch.  Thanks Ian for stepping up to plan and lead the ride. We are always looking for members who would like to plan trips along favorite roads.

Those on the club ride arrived at the pub around noon and met with other members who rode directly to the pub.  With such a strong turnout were packed in pretty tight but the fellowship of the rmembers made it like a family dinner.  Members introduced themselves and described the bike they were riding, which revealed a nice mix of first time attendees along with returning regulars.

The food was great and the ambiance very authentic Irish pub style décor. I had the fish sandwich and it was really excellent and I'd definitely stop in again for lunch  if I was in the Milton area.

All in, it was clear that the riders and the ride-to-eaters all had a great experience and were very happy to see a break from the recent rainy weather.  Looking forward to a good turnout for our July group activities.

Ride Safely!
