Relax

Hi all, Rob and Debbie Sprague here from southern NJ. Just wanted to introduce ourselves and say hello. I have a 2006 BMW K1200LT with a 2012 Hannigan trike conversion along with a 2009 R1200RT and a 2004 K1200GT. We both prefer mostly long distance riding on the trike and some shorter forays on the RT. I haven’t used the KGT at all in the last 2 years as my style of riding has changed. Since my wife and I are retired, we’ve wanted to exit NJ for quite some time and relocate south. My oldest brother did make the move to Mt. Airy, GA a few months back and he loves it but it’s difficult to leave other family still living here. Except for a stint in the military, I’ve resided in NJ all my life. We’ll see what 2020 has in store for us as far as relocating. I also plan to attend the May rally in Hiawassee for some relaxation and to do some visiting. Thanks……..

Hi Robert, I've recently rejoined the Georgia Club after being away for a few years. I retired and moved down to south Alabama but I really miss the motorcycling community in north Georgia so I hope to continue to have a long distance relationship with this club going forward.
I saw your post and couldn't help thinking of "The Andy Griffith Show". Let me explain. You mentioned Mt. Airy, GA but Mt. Airy, NC is the home of Andy Griffith and continues to be the epicenter of Andy Griffith show fan touring. Plus, a later character on the show was Howard Sprague. Your name brought that memory back.
Anyway, I saw no one had replied to your post here and I thought you might need someone to say, "Welcome to Georgia!"
With GMR cancelled this year, maybe I will meet you next year, same time, same channel. Meantime, keep it between the ditches.

Maybe once this Virus threat and presence abates perhaps some of us could work our way up to your area.  A ride meet-up or a meal somewhere would be a great opportunity to get to know a few of us.

I am frequently in the Toccoa, Cornelia, Baldwin, Alto areas and would be delighted to meet you.
