I took it over to BMW ATL and let Bill Kurtz work his magic. Took him all of 10 minutes, and it turns out that the secret is a teeny little socket that fits into an impossibly small hole.

Can anybody tell me how to tighten the right rearview mirror? Have tried removing the plug from below and twisting with needle nose pliers, but no luck. Is there a "Secret K" solution? Thanks much!
